2019 was a special year as we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the JA Company Programme and the 30th Company of the Year Competition. Launched in 1919, our flagship programme the JA Company Programme offers students aged 15-18 the opportunity to learn how to move a business idea from concept to reality. This year, 360,000 young people participated in the programme and created 30,000 mini-companies. This 30th edition was hosted by Entreprendre Pour Apprendre / JA France, in Lille.
The mini-company Entella Company from Turkey won the JA Europe Company of the Year 2019: they created Mareen, a cylindrical filter that aids in waste capture and removal in the ocean and other bodies of water.
